Fiqh linguistically means deep understanding. The scholars have taken this word and have given it a specific meaning.
So, in the subject of Islāmic Fiqh, it means “to know the rulings of the Sharī'ah, the ones that pertain to your actions (the actions of the slave).” 'Slave,' because we all belong to the Almighty.
Belief, on the other hand, is “'Aqīdah” and is different from Fiqh. 'Aqīdah is the Muslims' creed, or set of beliefs.
I just wanted to start a page on this topic because I wanted to come back here and go more indepth, before I get lazy.
